Unfortunatly I don't have any personal videos of the the traditional Japanese dancing perfomances I have seen myself, yet these examples come quite close. The despite the quality of the videos they are a good inspiration for the dancing coreography of my festival women.

These are examples of taiko drumming. The two latter links are not only helpful to learn about movement and action, but also inspiring for cinematography of drumming scenes.

In my soundtrack there is also a Shamisen part (Japanese Guitar). I considered if I should include shamisen musicians as actual characters. I dropped the idea and replaced it by a still background showing the transition from day time to night  time. Yet this video is still interesting.
